About the Role
Multilink Computers Pvt. Ltd. is looking for skilled and dedicated Field Network Engineers to support our networking and IT infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for on-site installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning of network equipment at various project locations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, test, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, and other IT networking devices.
• Perform network cabling, RJ45 crimping, LAN termination, patch panel installation, and cable testing.
• Work with Ethernet, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, and basic routing and switching configurations.
• Handle Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) installation, testing, and troubleshooting, wherever required.
• Configure and troubleshoot managed and unmanaged switches, routers, wireless access points, and network connectivity.
• Conduct site surveys, network testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Identify and resolve network connectivity issues, hardware failures, and link-down problems.
• Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, customers, and other technical teams for timely project execution.
• Maintain daily work reports, site progress updates, installation records, and material
• Practical knowledge of networking fundamentals, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and network troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with RJ45 connectors, UTP cables, patch panels, switches, routers, and access points.
• Basic understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and device configuration.
• Knowledge of OFC, fiber termination, splicing, and testing will be an added advantage.
• Ability to troubleshoot network hardware and connectivity issues independently.
• Willingness to travel and work at project sites across India, depending on project requirements.
• Good communication skills, discipline, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn.
1–3 years of relevant experience in networking, IT infrastructure, telecom, or field service operations.
Experience in railway, government, PSU, telecom, or enterprise networking projects will be an advantage.
Freshers with strong practical networking knowledge may also apply.
